The “Pursuit of Excellence” continues as Philippine Science High School – Cagayan Valley Campus passed the ISO second surveillance audit, ensuring quality secondary education even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a virtual surveillance audit last November 26, 2020 conducted by SOCOTEC, an accredited auditing firm, PSHS-CVC passed all the requirements to maintain its ISO accreditation since 2018.
The scope of registration covers admission, delivery of instruction, students support services, student affairs services and financial and administrative services.
The International Organization of Standardization commended the school with an ISO certification due to its consistent delivery of quality service to scholars, faculty and staff, as well as for its exemplary maintenance of its Quality Management System (QMS) that have met the standards of the organization.
“Rest assured of the school’s action on the opportunities for improvements and observations so that in the next audit, hopefully an improvement will happen,” PSHS-CVC Director, Dr. Salvador B. Romo, said during a speech after the audit.
Dr. Romo expects that the commitment the employees had in the past will continue to happen and withstand whatever adversities they will encounter in the future.
The ISO surveillance audit observes the QMS of an institution and checks if there are non-conformities within the system, and if an institution has met all the requirements it will be recommended for ISO re-certification.#
